Who is responsible for the data in my app?

Appeggio is responsible for ensuring the data in your app is secure and backed up within the requirements of your chosen plan. You are entirely responsible for the data contained in your app. Please refer to our Terms of Use for more information.

What assurance do I have that the Appeggio platform is safe and secure?

The Appeggio platform has undergone the Amazon Web Services, well-architected review. Appeggio is ISO27001 certified and regularly undertakes penetration testing.

Irrespective of your chosen plan, every app gets an automatic SSL certificate. All data is encrypted in flight, at rest, and in cache.

What about version control and backups?

We built Appeggio to be enterprise-grade from day one, so the entire Appeggio platform and every app built in Appeggio use the same version control and backup process. Almost every change made in the editor is saved in real-time and recorded in the change log, so you will have a complete list of every change made to your app, be who, and at what time, whatever happens. When you choose to deploy an app, that version is archived so you can always rollback, and for an extra subscription, you can create your own path-to-production if you want Dev>Unit Test>Sys Test>User Test>Pre Prod>Prod for example, and create roles privileges at each stage to who can promote your code.

Backups of the entire Appeggio platform and every app built in Appeggio are taken and archived every fifteen minutes, so if the worst did come to the worst, you will always have a very recent version we can restore for you. Depending on the plan you choose, we will hold these backups for up to 13 months, ensuring you always have access to a year-end.

We use a single sign-on tool like Okta for our company access management, can apps created in Appeggio connect to that?

Appeggio's built-in authentication system is OAuth 2.0 compliant, so this feature will be enabled very soon.

My organisation has data-sovereignty requirements.

Part of your app deployment options is to select the AWS region where you want your app deployed and for total control under the enterprise plan, you can deploy the Appeggio platform and any apps built in it to your own AWS account.

Is my data stored with other Appeggio customer data?

No, even on the base plan, every app gets its own data store, and you can choose to either have your app deployed to an Appeggio control AWS sub-account for a complete air gap, or on the enterprise plan you can choose to deploy to your own AWS account for complete control.
