The Formula Bar is a ‘smart’ component that can automatically operate in multiple modes. In the image below, the Formula Bar appears underneath the Top Toolbar and has a solid line around it.
In the example below, the following query was entered: (query "Fruits"). The result returned was the complete set of data in the "Fruits" table.
In the example below, the following prompt was entered: "set background color red". The prompt was executed on the row that had been selected, turning the background color of the row to red, and also reflecting that the color had been changed in the Property Panel on the right.
If you click the microphone icon to the left of the Formula Bar, you can speak into your computer's microphone, and Appeggio will convert your speech to text as if you were typing a prompt.
You can enter a query written as an that starts and ends with (). The Formula Bar will display the query result or make the desired change—allowing experienced developers to achieve outcomes without using the Property Panel.
You can type any natural language prompt into the Formula Bar, and Appeggio’s AI will automatically convert it into an and perform the desired outcome. It may ask questions in response if it can’t decide what to do based on your initial prompt. For example, if your prompt was “change the button color to blue,” Appeggio will ask which button and whether you would like the background or foreground color to be blue.
